About Uncle Tommy's
A family business from Longwood, County Meath. Tommy started it in 1977 with Ireland's oldest ice cream van. Barry works alongside him now.

Where it all began
This is the original van — Ireland's oldest ice cream van. Tommy Ennis started out with a chip van and a love of serving people. When the first ice cream went out in 1977, Uncle Tommy's was born. The Crescent Super Whip signage, the stars on the side, the window where generations of families have been served — it's all still part of the story.

The van today
The van has been updated over the years, but the service hasn't changed. Same friendly faces, same commitment to making your event that bit more special.

Tommy and Barry
Tommy built the business over decades. His son Barry has followed in his footsteps and now runs the van alongside him. It's still very much a family affair.

At your event
Whether it's a communion, a school sports day or a community fun day, we turn up, serve ice cream and let you get on with enjoying the day.
